About SEC

The Society for Environmental Conservation (SEC) is a registered society under the Act (1973), comprising a group of young professionals working in various fields of natural and social sciences. The organization was established on 18 November 1989 with the objective of disseminating knowledge and information generated in universities and laboratories to the common people for livelihood improvement.

Awareness and Plantation Programme

Since 1990, World Environment Day has been celebrated every year on June 5 to promote environmental protection and sustainable living. On this occasion, SEC has been organizing awareness programmes with a special focus on plantation and waste management.

Active participation from students and local residents has helped foster a deeper understanding of sustainable practices at the grassroots level. In addition, plantation drives have been conducted in the villages of Bilkhiriya, Sankal, and Tanda in Phanda Block, Bhopal District, Madhya Pradesh.
